What information do we require?
We require information that allows us to positively identify and remove malware from your website. This includes:
- Name of hosting provider
- Hosting account username
- Hosting account password
- Root password
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your Skype name
This information is used by us to either install our software (on VPS's and dedicated servers), or in the case of shared hosting accounts, to create our FTP user, activate raw access logs and check for cron jobs and other such potentially malicious activities.
We don't require any information from you, or place cookies on your local computer, if you're just browsing our website.
How do we use your information?
Most of our communication is handled via emails. However, for certain cases, we need to contact you immediately and we need interaction with you.
The circumstances that require this immediate interaction are in cases where we need further information. Without this information we cannot move forward and your request for our services will be delayed.
What do we do to protect this vital information?
Even before Google started awarding sites that use SSL higher search engine rankings, we decided to make our entire website use SSL (https:).
This ensures that information is coming from our website to your browser directly. Whether that be just for browsing, or when you enter your information in our contact form or place an order.
It's all encrypted to insure your information arrives at our servers safely and securely.
For credit card orders or PayPal orders, we will send you a PayPal invoice for payment of our fees. If you want to pay with a credit card, you don't need a PayPal account.
Any information stored on our servers, login details, etc. are fully protected and not accessible to anyone outside our organization.
Where is your information shared?
To be brief and to the point: Nowhere!
Other security services share your information with people outside their organization or outside the United States. They refer to them as "trusted third parties".
We do not!
They also stipulate they can provide your non-personally identifiable information to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.
